Under Josh Wojehowski’s leadership, Cornwall made a critical upgrade to its emergency services by transitioning from an all-volunteer ambulance model to a professional partnership with New Windsor EMS. This shift ensures that every emergency call is answered, with a full-time, highly trained team on standby 24/7.

Today, Cornwall residents can count on an average response time of under 5 minutes—a life-saving improvement that reflects Josh’s commitment to public safety, modernization, and community well-being.

Bringing New Investment to Main Street

Thanks to the leadership and collaboration of Josh Wojehowski, the Town of Cornwall—together with the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson—was awarded the highly competitive NY Forward Grant, bringing $4.5 million in state funding directly into the heart of our community. This grant represents a transformational opportunity to revitalize Main Street, boost local businesses, enhance walkability, and restore key historic sites like the Storm King Theater. Josh played a critical role in organizing bipartisan support, aligning community stakeholders, and ensuring our joint application reflected a clear and united vision for the future.

The NY Forward investment will strengthen our local economy, improve quality of life, and preserve the charm that makes Cornwall such a special place to live, work, and visit—for years to come.
